All Call for Newport Rotarians - Croatan Ridge Gardening Project

We're trying to finish up our grant project at Croatan Ridge Nursing Home. We have some finishing touches to do on the vegetable raised beds and some assembly on the patio sets. There will probably be a few other small jobs to complete and lots of hands will make the work very short. Would like to start about 9 AM on Sat the 14th of March and we will be finished before noon. Please come and do Rotary with the club. When we're finished let's head to Shortways for a beer and a sandwich (Dutch Treat). See you there and thanks. Rick Moreau.

ed. The Gardening Project at Croatan Ridge is a project of Newport Rotary with help of a grant from The Rotary Foundation. Approximately $5,000 is available from the Foundation for this signature Newport Rotary project!

Hey everyone just a quick reminder about Saturday morning at Croatan Ridge. This is the finale of our grant project and we need as many Newport Rotarians as possible there. We have a few jobs left but they are vital and will let us finish this project on time and with our usual vigor. Here's a short list of what we will be doing: (1) Putting pavers and plant pots in raised beds in back. (2) Assembling table and umbrella and placing them, with chairs. in back patio area. (3) Shoring up raised beds in court yard area and putting new planting boxes in. (4) placing new rockers on front patio area. (5) Putting new cushions on benches in front patio area. (6) putting together hose reels with hoses and spray heads for watering. (7) Stenciling the Newport Rotary logo on the raised beds. There may be a couple more odds and ends but that's the biggest part. None of this is going to be hard or take much time but we need all hands on deck. Show time is 9 AM, 14 March, at Croatan Ridge. We should be done well before noon with a lot of participation. Please give me an RSVP, so we have a pretty solid count. Remember you don't have to be there the whole time, just as long as you can be. Thanks.
