Newport Rotary has completed its most recent project supported by a grant from The Rotary Foundation. The grant for a $2,000 project, in collaboration with the Matthew 25 Outreach, our local Food Pantry, was designed to select, purchase and install a range, oven and range hood in the Matthew 25 building, where Creative Cooking courses would then be offered to the "food stressed" community. Matthew 25 Director Tammy Blizzard advises everything is purchased and installed.
The first food class is Monday, April 3, 2017 from 4-6pm. Rotarians and guests are welcome. The courses will be taught by former Home-Ec teacher Bena Weires.
