The Area Membership Seminar is Thursday night, September 4, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. It is a local event to be held in the Spooner's Creek Clubhouse, Morehead City.
Newport Rotary has traditionally had a good turnout at these events, so you are encouraged to show up! Increasing Membership remains an emphasis area for our club this year!
The tentative agenda follows:
- Welcome and Introductions - Andy Chused ( 5 minutes)
- District Goals and new Generation Clubs - Lee Dixon (10 minutes)
- Start by Inviting Someone to Lunch- John Eller (10 minutes)
- The Membership Tool Box- Bob Stinson
- Group Exercises
- List Some Successful Membership Recruitment Projects. ( 30 Minutes)
- Conclusions-David Pearson

Club President, Cliff Schweitzer, Inez Schweitzer, and PDG Bevin Wall attended this event on Thursday evening. There was a goot turn-out of Rotarians from the Carteret County Clubs, and less from the Onslow area clubs. The programs was fast moving and informative. The bottom line, those clubs with a plan do better, that those who are just "winging it" or hoping for the best in Membership Development. It has to be a club priority!
